Launch Veo 3.1 Lite - the most cost-effective video generation model
Google has introduced Veo 3.1 Lite, its most cost-effective video generation model available to developers through the Gemini API. This model allows for the creation of high-volume video applications at less than 50% of the cost of the Veo 3.1 Fast model while maintaining the same speed. Veo 3.1 Lite completes the Veo 3.1 model family, providing developers with flexibility based on their needs.
On April 7, the pricing for Veo 3.1 Fast will also be reduced, allowing even more developers to integrate video generation into their products. Veo 3.1 Lite balances practical utility with professional capabilities, supporting Text-to-Video and Image-to-Video functionalities. It offers flexible framing for landscape (16:9) and portrait (9:16) ratios, as well as 720p and 1080p video resolutions.
A demo app is available to showcase how Veo 3.1 Lite can be used to craft the perfect video. Developers can customize the duration at 4, 6, or 8 seconds, with costs adjusting accordingly. Our commitment to making video generation more accessible to developers doesn't end with the launch of Veo 3.1 Lite. Stay tuned for more updates!
The model is rolling out today via a paid tier on the Gemini API and Google AI Studio. Check out the developer documentation for all specifications of the new Veo 3.1 Lite and the updated pricing for Veo 3.1 Fast.
