Build a Personal AI Agent in Just a Few Hours

Modern tools like Claude Code and Google AntiGravity have significantly simplified the prototyping process, allowing individuals to quickly create useful solutions. I dedicate one to two hours a day to work with my AI stack, which has transformed my approach to prototyping and building a personal AI agent.

This experience has brought me back to coding and building, which I had set aside as my role at DareData became more managerial. Now, I can combine management and creation, reinforcing both aspects. Importantly, as AI agents increasingly take on execution tasks, developers will be pushed to develop management and coordination skills, often against their will.

I manage a virtual assistant that performs specific tasks while leaving me largely uninformed about other aspects of its work. This allows me to focus on steering the system rather than micromanaging every element. For instance, I can have a clear understanding of the backend while remaining clueless about the frontend.

My personal AI assistant is tailored to my daily tasks and adapts to my working style. It includes a mobile app that recommends one music album per week and a mobile game featuring a character progressing through levels. These projects become a reality thanks to the new tech stack, which removes barriers related to lacking knowledge in certain areas.

I plan to open-source my AI assistant so that others can adapt it to their needs. Currently, it is specific to my life, but I intend to make it more general. My personal AI agent, named Fernão, helps me manage my schedule, improve texts, organize finances, and track subscriptions.
