TinyFish AI Launches Unified Platform for AI Agents with One API Key
TinyFish, a Palo Alto-based startup, has launched a complete infrastructure platform for AI agents operating on the live web. This platform unifies four products under a single API key and credit system: Web Agent, Web Search, Web Browser, and Web Fetch. Each of these tools addresses specific tasks that previously required disparate solutions.
The Web Agent executes autonomous multi-step workflows on real websites, navigating sites, filling forms, and returning structured results without the need for manually scripted steps. Web Search provides structured search results in JSON format using a custom Chromium engine, achieving significantly lower latency compared to competitors.
The Web Browser offers managed Chrome sessions with a cold start of under 250 ms, a substantial improvement over the 5-10 seconds typical for competitors. The browser includes 28 anti-bot mechanisms, enhancing its reliability. Web Fetch converts any URL into clean Markdown, HTML, or JSON, stripping away unnecessary elements like CSS and scripts, returning only the content needed.
One of the main challenges faced by AI agents is context window pollution when standard web fetch tools pull in the entire HTML of a page. TinyFish Fetch addresses this by rendering the page in a full browser and returning only clean text, significantly reducing the number of tokens used per operation.
Additionally, TinyFish ships two developer-facing components: CLI and the Agent Skill System. The CLI installs with a single command, providing access to all four endpoints directly from the command line. The skill system allows AI coding agents to learn how to use the CLI without manual integration, simplifying the process and increasing efficiency.
The TinyFish platform stands out by having all components developed in-house, allowing for optimization towards a single goal: successful task completion. This eliminates dependencies on third-party providers and minimizes the issues that arise from integrating various tools.
